Release r202509
What's New
This release contains the following new or changed functionality:
Introducing the automator SFTP Service
There was a lot of demand for a secure, reliable method for customers to upload data exports (e.g., CSV, XML, JSON) from their on-premises systems to the automator platform. Once uploaded, this data would then be processed by integration packages within the platform.
This has been made possible by the addition of a SFTP server to the automator platform: the automator SFTP Service.
Getting Access
Access to the automator SFTP Service can be requested by registering a request in Xurrent using the “Request SFTP access” request template. When submitting the request, you must provide your desired username and public SSH key.
Working With
Once access has been provided, configure the SFTP connection within the automator platform as follows:
- Create an account of type “SSH / SFTP”.
- Configure the account using:
- The host and port for your environment (see below)
- Your username
- Your SSH private key corresponding to the public key provided during access request
- In your integration package, you can interact with the SFTP server using the available
sftp_*functions. For example:This downloads the contents of the filelet users = sftp_download("techwork-sftp", "users.csv");users.csvfrom the SFTP server configured in accounttechwork-sftp. Refer to the automator help documentation for a full list of available SFTP functions and usage examples.
Technical Details
The automator SFTP Service is available at sftp.automator.at, on port 22.
All file transfers are encrypted in transit, and uploaded files are stored encrypted at rest. Access to SFTP directories is restricted per customer and fully audited to maintain data integrity and compliance.
