Release r202504
What's New
This release contains the following new or changed functionality:
New Database Functions Available
The ability to access a SQL database unique to the package execution has been added in the form of the new sql function. Example usage:
sql("CREATE TABLE people (id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, name TEXT)");
sql("INSERT INTO people (name) VALUES (?)", ["Beatrice"]);
let people = sql("SELECT * FROM people");
people // => [{ id: 1, name: "Beatrice" }]
The database (and the data it contains) is removed and no longer available after the package execution.
If you want to persist the database across package executions, you can use the db_save and db_load functions to respectively save and load a snapshot of the database. Example usage:
if (!db_load("mappings")) {
// Create the database.
}
// Work with database.
let success = db_save("mappings");
For now, a maximum of 10 snapshots can be created per profile & environment. The following two functions have been added to help with maintenance of snapshots:
db_remove: Permanently removes a snapshotdb_list: Lists the snapshots in the current environment.
There will also be a limit on the size of a database. We are currently testing what would be a sensible limit. That limit will be present when this release is moved to production.
Add Inline Attachments to Knowledge Article Instructions
Using the create function is now possible to attach inline attachments to the description and instructions fields of Knowledge Articles in Xurrent.
Instead of using the regular attachments field, which is possible for all other models, you have to supply the attachments using the description_attachments and instructions_attachments fields. Example usage:
create("knowledge_articles", {
subject: "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet",
description: ...,
description_attachments: [file1],
instructions: ...,
instructions_attachments: [file2, file3],
...
}, account)
